Hello everyone, this is an accessory review for the rear trunk for the NAV golf cart. It is $302 on Kawasaki site. It goes in in less than five minutes, and couldn’t be easier to install. It gives you a nice little locked area in the rear of the vehicle if you’re making a stop somewhere. It screws in and would be very secure from what I can tell. It is also waterproof because it has a rubber gasket around the door that opens.
If there is a downside, it would be that you need an additional key, that is not the ignition key, to open up and lock the trunk. Not a big deal because I can’t see how they would do it otherwise since it is not a full freaking Car. Otherwise, I think it is a great addition and as you can see by the pictures, it’s even got the logo on there and adds to the appearance.
Another thing I’ll point out to people with Nav’s, when the back seat is flipped down to the floorboard, there is a great little spot underneath the seat, but between the handles that is kind of secured and snuggled in there for some bags. We went to Publix (which is the southern nice supermarket) and had four small bags under there and cruised home with no problem. Obviously the top of the fold down seat would be handy for bigger items and more groceries. But you don’t always make a trip to get a ton of stuff.
Hope this helps anybody contemplating the purchase of the trunk.
